"Why Blog? What's the point?"

I know a lot of people (including myself) that really don't understand blogging. They think its a place for you to write down meaningless "stuff" where only you and a select few ever go back and read it. Now if you say you have your own website- BAM! there is the respect you're looking for. Now, I realize you can do a lot with a blog- have pictures, video's, sound, tons of widgets, comments, games, links, pages, make $$- almost everything you can do with a website, only less complicated, a little smaller, and with no cost. So who is smarter, someone that makes a website and pays a domain fee -or- someone that creates a blog and utilizes all their possible resources making money without any cost to themselves? Don't bother- (its rhetorical)
